扁丝（flat filament）， 截面呈扁平形的化学纤维单丝，塑编行业的简称，也有称为切割纤维，它是生产塑料编织物的基本材料，扁丝由特定品种的聚丙烯，聚乙烯树脂经熔融挤出成膜，然后，纵向分切成条，诸条同时加热牵伸取向后定型，最终卷绕成扁丝纱锭。
